Built in late 2007 and early 2008, Mississauga Transit ordered 35 New Flyer D60LFRs to replace their overworked 1997 New Flyer D60LFs. In mid 2018, Nova LFS Artics began arriving to replace the D60LFRs. Although some D60LFRs stuck around in MiWay service until 2021, the first of the D60LFRs retired in 2018. While some were scrapped, some were purchased with the intention of reselling them to new buyers. This turned out to be a success starting in 2019, when some of the D60LFRs went to Niagara Falls for Niagara Region Transit to support high ridership on the regional routes between the cities in the region. At the same time, some D60LFRs ended up in Boulder, CO, operating for Buff Bus at the University of Colorado. The number of ex-MiWay D60LFRs at Buff Bus increased again in 2020, and subsequently in 2021 with the departure from City View Bus Sales & Service of the buses featured in this video.

Special thanks to Jared Christie and Chris Whitfield for the Niagara Region Transit photos.
