Hello Everyone ,
I am a Software Engineer based out of India. Recently we made a trip to the majestic Ladakh , India in the month of September , 2021.
We reached Leh via Delhi from Kolkata by flight. From there we travelled to Kargil , which is now a part of newly formed Ladakh Union Territory , visited the Dras War Memorial which reminds us of the bloodbath that took place in the famous Kargil War , 1999 between India and Pakistan. Later we came back to Leh covering Lamayuru , Alchi monasteries on the way and stopped for some time at the Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.
Next morning we headed to Nubra Valley , which lies to the west of Leh and the scenes along the journey were absolutely breathtaking. We stopped for a while at Khardung La , one of the highest mountain passes standing at almost 18,000 feet above sea level.
We visited Diskit Monastery , rode an ATV (some shots in video) and did the camel ride amidst some scenic views of sunset. Our rejuvenated souls then pushed off for one day excursion to Turtuk Village , which ia also known as the last village of India. We went to the border of India Pakistan , where a very infamous village called Thang with an incredible story separates the borders. The inhabitants of this village used to be Pakistani before 1971 Bangladesh liberation War and in in a dramatic turn of events , people got separated from their families as new borders were drawn. (You can go and checkout it’s history).
Next up was fulfilling our Pangong Dream , a dream that every wanderlust and a Bollywood movie buff bore specially after the release of 3 Idiots Movie which actually made Ladakh very popular among Indian Tourists.
We ended our tour with local sightseeing’s of Leh and covering some more monasteries.
I have tried to put in the highlights of our 8 day trip to Ladakh in 4 mins , so sit back , relax and churn your wander lust. Travelling has not been easy during these unprecedent times , but we all hope to be in a normal state soon.

By the way , I mostly put out educational content related to Software Engineering on this channel , but do expect some travel videos , the next time , my wander lust kicks in.
