Part of installation work (2008) for the slow-art residency:
(‘In the Footsteps of the Romantic Poets’)
Filming, editing and sound by Antony Lyons
Incorporates some footage from archived 1930 home-movies.
The subject of this piece revolves around the layers and associations of fire (and water) in the Quantock Hills landscape, with geopoetic juxtapositions with Egypt and its pyramids. This is in particular reference to a fascination of the Romantic Poets with Egypt and Napoleon.
