Extraction using a probe-basket device from Peter van der Weerd at www.kafko.nl and an Amprobe TMD-56 dual temp logger, measuring temp in the puck and temp at the side of the group. The Amprobe is connected to the laptop 5m away where Artisan software from http://code.google.com/p/artisan/ is logging the data and plotting live graphs.
I like how the puck temp hits 93ºC and then goes from there. The crema / tiger spots don’t show well when the coffee drips down along the silicone tube that protects the probe / thermocouple wire. To the left is the Fluke measuring ambient temperature.
